MARSYANGDI RIVER TRIP
Marsyangdi, draining from the mighty Annapurna range, is one of the top 10 white water runs in the world!
The Marsyangdi is often described as one of the best white water runs in the world and is one of the best class IV kayaking and rafting rivers in the Himalayas. Continuously, exhilarating white water with magnificent mountain views is highly recommended for experienced kaykers and rafters willing to push the limit. From the eddie we have magnificent views of the over 8000 meter Himalayan peaks.

| NOTE! You need to arrive at the latest the night before the trip at RBC, as we start out early in the morning. Dinner and overnight at RBC is included in the trip. | |
| ONE DAY MARSYANGDI | |
| DAY 1: |
After early breakfast at RBC we drive to Bhoteodar where we get on the river. We start rafting and kayaking where the water comes out of the tunnel, we have lunch on the riverbank and continue paddling class III water down to Turture. We return to RBC. |
| TWO DAYS MARSYANGDI | |
| DAY 1: | After early breakfast at RBC we drive to Bhoteodar where we get on the river. We start rafting and kayaking where the water comes out of the tunnel, we have lunch on the riverbank and continue paddling class III water down to Turture. We drive to Khudi where we camp for the night. |
| DAY 2: | Today we have a full day of some of the best kayaking and rafting in the world to look forward to. We paddle from Khudi down to the dammside through challenging class IV water. Lunch on the riverbank. From the takeout we return to RBC. |
| THREE DAYS MARSYANGDI | |
| DAY 1: | After early breakfast at RBC we drive to Bhoteodar where we get on the river. We start rafting and kayaking where the water comes out of the tunnel, we have lunch on the riverbank and continue paddling class III water down to Turture. We drive to Khudi where we camp for the night. |
| DAY 2: | We start our morning with a trek upriver from the camp to our put in at Nadi. We are now in the world class waters of upper Marsyangdi. This strech is for experienced kayakers only. The raftteam will need their experience from the previous day. We paddle class V and class IV water, challenging and continous, with no room for misstakes. We take out after a really challenging day at Khudi and camp for the night. |
| DAY 3: | Today we have a full day of some of the best kayaking and rafting in the world to look forward to. We paddle from Khudi down to the dammside through challenging class IV water. Lunch on the riverbank. From the takeout we return to RBC. |
| SEASON: | Starting a few times a week during season, September to June. |
| EXPERIENCE NEEDED: | If you want to kayak the Marsyangdi kayaking experience is needed, you should be a confident class IV kayaker. To raft down this river no experience is needed. |
| INSTRUCTORS / GUIDES: | The trip is lead by professional expedition kayakers from Royal Beach Camp with many years of experience in the Himalayan rivers. Our leaders are SRT- KRT- and BCU-certified and have thorough river rescue qualifications. |
| NO OF PARTICIPANTS: | Group joining or private trips on request. |
| INCLUDED: | One night at RBC (before the trip starts, you need to arrive at the latest the night before the trip at RBC, as we start out early in the morning), all meals, tented accommodation, transportation RBC to RBC, guides and instructor. Well maintained equipement. |
| NOT INCLUDED: | Travel insurance, emergency evacuation. Personal expenses, such as drinks. |
| WHAT TO BRING: | Sleeping bag, mattress and flashlight. Warm cloths for the evenings. Shorts and warm fleece, teva- sandal or river shoes for the day. Sunglasses, hat, sun protection, mosquito repellant, personal toilettries and personal first aid.. |
| TRIP START / FINISH: | RBC to RBC. Let us know if you want us to arrange transport from the takout to any other destination when you book. |
